At Home Depot, the “Special Purchase” Ridgid 18V oscillating multitool kit is priced very low, at just $79.
It looks like Home Depot has released its Ridgid 18V Wireless Oscillating Multitool, the R86241K, for the 2021 holiday shopping season. I don’t remember seeing it in person at all, but I’ve noticed the promotional-priced kit online all season.
There is no shortage of multi-tool kits and cordless oscillators to choose from. But what if you just want an inexpensive set? The OMT Wireless Ridgid Kit seems to be good value for money.
It features a tool-less accessory changing system, a variable speed dial, and an on/off power switch. It has an oscillation angle of 3.2 degrees and operates up to 20,000 OPM.
The kit comes with the tool, sanding pad, sandpaper, section saw blade, cutting blade, charger and 2.0Ah battery.
At $79, the Ridgid kit seems to be a good value. As per the specifications, you will get two starter attachments and a 2Ah battery.
During the holiday shopping seasons, the Milwaukee M18 Cordless Oscillating Multitool Promo Kit can be found at select retailers for $99. Dewalt usually has two promotions for a $99 brushless oscillating multitool kit – a 20V Max Atomic kit with a 2.0Ah battery, and a three-speed XR kit with a 1.5Ah battery.
While Ridgid doesn’t look very exciting, it seems like a really good deal. I hope this is a permanent addition to the Ridgid 18V lineup.
